The 40-foot-wide footprint gives you the flexibility to create a true event layout with guest seating, a large dance floor, entertainment, bars, catering areas, décor, and lighting all working together beneath one structure.

What Can You Fit Under a 40x75 Tent?

When most of the tent is dedicated to seating, a general planning guide is:

Seated Dinner with 60" Round Tables: Approximately 225–240 guests
Banquet-Style Seating: Approximately 280–300 guests
Ceremony or Chairs Only: Approximately 450–500 guests
Cocktail or Standing Event: Approximately 375–400 guests

Those numbers represent seating-focused layouts. For weddings and receptions, we recommend planning around the complete event rather than simply the maximum number of guests the tent can hold.

A Complete Wedding Reception Under One Tent

With the additional width and length of the 40x75, there is room to create a reception that feels intentional instead of crowded.

Depending on your layout, the space can incorporate guest tables, a large central dance floor, DJ or band, sweetheart or head table, bar, buffet or catering area, cake table, gift table, and other event features.

For a full wedding reception incorporating several of these elements, approximately 175–200 seated guests is a strong starting point for planning.
