The expansive floor plan gives you tremendous flexibility for guest seating, large dance floors, entertainment, bars, catering areas, décor, and lighting.

What Can You Fit Under a 40x90 Tent?

When most of the tent is dedicated to guest seating, a general planning guide is:

Seated Dinner with 60" Round Tables: Approximately 270–288 guests
Banquet-Style Seating: Approximately 340–360 guests
Ceremony or Chairs Only: Approximately 550–600 guests
Cocktail or Standing Event: Approximately 450–475 guests

These numbers represent seating-focused layouts. A complete reception requires considerably more space per guest.

A Full-Scale Wedding Reception

The real advantage of the 40x90 is having enough room to bring the major pieces of a large reception together beneath one structure.

Depending on your layout, the tent can incorporate guest tables and chairs, a large central dance floor, DJ or live band, sweetheart or head table, bar, buffet or catering stations, cake table, gift table, and other event features while maintaining comfortable space for guests to move throughout the event.

For a full wedding reception incorporating several of these features, approximately 200–240 seated guests is a strong starting point for planning.

More elaborate events with a large band, oversized dance floor, multiple bars, lounge furniture, food stations, or other specialty areas may require additional space or a lower guest count.
